Queen's Drive
Infant School

In this section...

At Queen's Drive, we work very hard to support children in school with personal development, wellbeing and mental health. This is through the curriculum, assemblies and also through interventions.

Massage in Schools Programme

We use massage and mindfulness activities daily to help children return calmly from the playground and support them with feelings and friendships.

Mental Health Support Team NHS

We are a Mental Health Support Team (MHST) school

MHSTs have three core functions:

  • to deliver evidence-based interventions for mild-to-moderate mental health issues;
  • support the senior mental health lead  in each school or college to introduce or develop whole school or college approach and;

  • give timely advice to school and college staff, and liaise with external specialist service to help children and young people to get the right support and stay in education.

Are you struggling with your child's behaviour at home? The MHST has support.

Drawing and talking therapy

This is a 1:1 talking therapy that can support children who are experiencing emotional difficulties. The child works with a trained member of school staff for sessions over 12 weeks.

Lego based therapy

This is a small group therapy that we use to support children in different ways. The child works with up to 4 children with a trained member of school staff.
