WELCOME BACK!!!

It is lovely to have all our KS1 children back after the holidays and fantastic to welcome all our new EYFS children to Queen's Drive.

                                

CURRICULUM

You will be receiving a curriculum newsletter for your child's year group which will give more detail about what they are learning this term along with dates for activities. Look out for these via Parentmail.

UNIFORM

Reminder to please label everything!

We are already finding items of clothing with no names. 

 

EXCITING NEWS - KS1 ACTIVE WEEK                                               

Next week will be ACTIVE WEEK for all children in Year 1 and Year 2 where children will get to try new activities and meet a Team GB athlete - more details to follow on Parentmail. 

Reception - proper PE lessons will start for them WB 30th September once the other routines are established.

Don't forget - PE uniform is Navy blue top and leggings/shorts, a white top and trainers.

WATER BOTTLES

Children should bring a named water bottle every day. Remember - NO juice, just WATER.

                                              

BOOK BAGS AND READING

Children should bring a book bag (NO BACK PACKS please) with their reading books inside every day please. Children will read these in school and get them changed.

Remember to complete your reading at home diary at least 3 times a week - rewards are given out at the end of term.

ATTENDANCE

We are working really hard to improve our overall school attendance this year.  Children will receive a sticker on a Friday for a full week at school and there will be half termly awards.

DATES FOR THE DIARY

KS1 Active week - 23rd - 27th September

Parents evenings - We will soon be taking bookings to see teachers for parent consultations. These will be held on October 16th / October 17th. Invitations will be sent out on Parentmail.

KS1 Story cafes - We will have Harvest themed story cafes on Thursday 24th October, timings to be sent out later.

Half term - Begins Friday 25th October
